Training

The Social Partnership Development Fund is a leader in the professional training of employees of NPOs, medical institutions and private companies engaged in the field of public health. A feature of our approach to training is that, in addition to theoretical knowledge on combating socially significant diseases, we pay particular attention to how this knowledge can be applied in practice, given the reality of the conditions in Russia.

The seminars and training classes held by the Fund on various matters relating to socially significant diseases, working with patients, developing multi-sectoral cooperation in the field of public health, are highly rated by members of the patient community, experts, medical professionals, private companies and NPOs.

The following is a partial list of seminars and training classes designed and conducted by the Fund recently:

  • "Consultations in the context of treating HIV infection and viral hepatitis”;
  • "Organizational development and management of NPOs";
  • "Literacy in matters of treatment”;
  • "Social support for HIV-infected patients”;
  • "Developing interaction to provide comprehensive care for HIV-positive patients with drug addiction”;
  • "Organization of the ‘Patient’s School’ group consultation model for HIV-infected patients”;
  • "Training for trainers: the trainer's tools in managing group dynamics”;
  • "HIV, pregnancy and women's health".

An integral part of the Fund’s activity is the holding of training classes on the organizational development of NPOs. After all, the work of any non-profit organization involves a full range of techniques related to planning activities, fund raising, and developing GR and PR strategies. Feedback from participants in training courses and seminars in this area, which include the Russian Diabetes Association, organizations for people living with HIV, and organizations caring for patients with mental disorders and cancer, demonstrates the importance of these activities and indicates that the knowledge and skills acquired during training enhance the quality of their work and, as a consequence, the quality of life for their customers, which is the main objective of the Fund.

In addition to developing, testing and implementing training programmes on various aspects of combating socially significant diseases, the Fund has positive experience of carrying out analyses and independent examinations of training programmes developed by other organizations with a view to their effectiveness and practical applicability.
